The primary capability that is provided by this roadmap initiative.
IT Capability
Institutional or organizational capabilities are skills, processes, tools and systems that an organization uses as a whole to drive meaningful business results. IT Capabilities focus are identified seperately to help GW IT compose its unique value to GW.
IT Cap ID
This is the unique identifier for an IT Capability used by GW IT. It allows for data integrity in multiple database relationships.

IT Sub-Capability
Institutional or organizational capabilities that are related to the IT Capability and unique complex enough to warrant it's own sub-category. IT Sub-Capabilities focus are identified seperately to help GW IT compose its unique value to GW. See IT Capabilities.
IT Tower Name
Name of IT Tower as identified by TBM Taxonomy 2.1. IT towers and sub-towers are the basic building blocks of services and applications. Examples include compute (e.g., servers, Unix, mainframe), network, application (e.g., app dev, app support and maintenance) and IT management. They are sometimes called domains or functions. Many IT shops have dedicated departments or cost centers for towers that are then delivered as shared resources for application and service owners.

Job Begin Date
The date the job assignment first started. This value remains constant once set regardless of termination or reactivation of the job.
Job Change Reason
The Job Change Reason describes the nature of a given job record for an employee. It is used to explain every aspect of the employee lifecycle from hire to termination. Job Change Reasons are grouped into higher-level categories called Job Change Types, which include categories such as Hire, Voluntary Termination, Involuntariy Termination, Leave of Absence, or Reclassification.
Job Change Reason Code
The Job Change Reason Code is the code used in the table to link to the Job Change Reason descirption. It is used to explain every aspect of the employee lifecycle from hire to termination. Job Change reasons are grouped into categories called Job Change Types, which include categories such as Hire, Termination, Involuntary Termination, Leave of Absence or Reclassification.
Job Change Type Desc
Describes whether a job change was involuntary termination, data change, voluntary, etc.
Job Code
Job Code is a concatenation of the position number for an employee's job and the job suffix for a previous position
Job Contract Type
Job Contract Type indicates if this job is a primary, secondary or overload job for the employee. An employee must have one primary job, but can have multiple secondary and overload jobs. In the case of more than one concurrent job, the Primary job is the one that an employee spends the majority of their time doing. If an employee has a mix of regular (benefit-eligible) and temporary (non-benefit-eligible) jobs, then the primary job must be one of the regular (benefit-eligible) jobs.
Job Contract Type Code
Job contract type code is the code used to indicate if a job is primary, secondary or overload job for an employee. An employee must have one primary job, but can have multiple secondary and overload jobs.
Job Designation
An attribute of a job that determines the employee designation once the job has an incumbent.
Job End Date
The effective date the job will terminate. If the date is null, then the job is defined as indefinite.
Job Family
A job family is a grouping of roles that have a similar nature of work and utilize a similar skill set, but that require differing levels and specializations of skill, effort or responsibility (e.g. Accountant vs. Payroll Specialist, both in the Finance and Business family). GW has 21 job families
Job Family Activity Date
Job Family Activity Date is the Date of the person entering the data into the Banner table
Job Family Code
A job family code is a referential value in Banner for a specific Job Family.
Job Family UserID
Job Family UserID is the ID of the person entering the data into the Banner table
Job Group
Job Group is a concatenation of the Position Group Code and the the Position Group for the employee's most recent previous position
Job Location
Description of the job/hiring location.
