Tableau Cloud

Tableau Cloud is a fully-hosted, cloud-based solution that puts GW on the path of leveraging Tableau’s latest and greatest features. Tableau cloud is always the latest version.

 It's important for GW Creator licensees to stay current so features and functions perform properly. If you are using an outdated version of Tableau Desktop, your dashboard may not be compatible to Tableau Cloud.

Check your current version of Tableau Desktop: Top Menu, Help > About

Verify what the latest version is for Tableau Desktop and download the latest version.

Tableau Desktop Renewal - Activate Tableau Online

With Tableau Cloud, there are no more license keys. If you have been granted a 'creator' license for GW Tableau Design and Test, you will be able to activate by signing into a server. You will be linked to GW Tableau Cloud (https://sso.online.tableau.com). Once authenticated, you will have successfully activated your Desktop license.

Steps to Download Tableau Desktop

Step 1: Submit a Request for Desktop Software via this link: http://go.gwu.edu/tableausoftware

Step 2: Complete the form and submit!

Step 3: You will be contacted by the BI Team to confirm you have been granted the necessary Creator License.

Step 4: GW IT will provide details to download Tableau Desktop through your Software Center.
