As part of the GW Information Technology division, Business Intelligence Services (BIS) serves the George Washington University community by providing timely, trusted, and relevant data in support of operational and strategic processes and decisions.
Through integrated efforts, the Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence team and the Data Governance & Data Quality team enhance the value of data as a strategic Institutional asset by making it trustworthy, consistent, and accessible.
Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence
Responsible for implementing and maintaining systems and services, the Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence team manages the GW Data Warehouse, GW Insight and GW Power BI, and creates and distributes products such as dashboards, reports, and searchable data sources.
Data Governance & Data Quality
Effective quality control and governance are essential to realizing the value of enterprise data. The Data Governance & Data Quality team monitors, analyzes, and improves the quality of GW data, and establishes governance processes and data stewardship practices, and provides a comprehensive catalog GW data products.
